Today, Apple announced their October 27th special event. This has been expected for a while, so we know that it will be entirely focused on Mac. However, the new MacBook Pro will be at the center of the stage. There is also a strong likelihood that there will be a refreshed MacBook Air as well as iMacs, in addition to the possible removal of the 11" MacBook Air. It is also likely that the fully wireless AirPods will be released on the day of the event. Here is a full guide of what to expect.
Like I spoke about in my full rumors roundup, the 2016 MacBook Pro will feature a new design, four USB-C ports in replace of MagSafe 2 and USB-A, Touch ID, and an OLED touch bar. The MacBook Pro will be the main focus of the upcoming event.
The MacBook Air will likely be a smaller update then the MacBook Pro, but it will have some minor upgrades. The display resolution and general design will likely remain the same, but it will add USB-C support and some speed boosts.
There is also the possibility of new iMacs being announced. If this is the case, they will keep the same design but receive and upgrade in internals and possibly USB-C support.
Long anticipated is Apple's fully wireless AirPods, which have a special pairing process using the new W1 chip. They will also have Siri integration. They will finally be for sale following the special event.
